This agreement must be signed by the apprentice and the employer at the beginning of the training. This agreement contains all the information necessary to act as the main statement, so you do not have to provide this information separately in a letter or other document. A written or oral contract is made as soon as the worker accepts a job offer. In order to minimize future misunderstandings, we recommend providing the letter of offer with a copy of this agreement so that the employee can return a letter of acceptance with a signed copy of the contract. In order to encourage companies to recruit apprentices, Parliament passed the Apprenticeship, Skills, Children and Apprenticeship Act 2009, which provided for the power to impose a standard agreement on an employment contract and not an apprenticeship contract.
